Vegetation - Phillip Island
The Australian national Parks and Wildlife service (as it was then known) eradicated the last of the Rabbits in 1988. Since then there has been significant natural re-vegetation helped long by weed control and tree planting by Environment Australia (as it is now known).
For more detailed information relating to both Norfolk and Phillip Islands, go to 'Environment Australia' on Homepage and click on 'Plants and Animals'.
There are several species native to Phillip, some very rare.
